the project

Natland SB is exploring new fields or opening a box of Pandora.

The director managing thought it would be a nice waste of time to go out there and to test a participation in some art project so Natland SB got invited by a Danish organization called The Travellers Box (TSB).

The TSB toolkit & a project guide for artists was send from Oslo just before Christmas.

Now Natland SB is playing with the offered materials consisting out of a metal box, a plastic sheet, a blanket and some rope and re-uses the words in the instruction book.

Natland SB is not expecting to pull a rabbit. But a hare is wished for to walk into.

But this should all end within a month according to the temporary curator.

All artists who produce a piece of work for The Travellers Box are asked to relate their work to one or more of the areas of exploration on either a concrete or an abstract level. These can be found later in the documentation under 'Areas of Exploration' and are set forth to initially serve as inspirational material.

The price for collaboration in art is, as in the concentration camps, excremental suffocation. It is not by submission, coolness, apathy, boredom that great art is created – no matter what the cynics tell us. The secret ingredient is what is most difficult to learn - courage.
